They contain essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and slowly digesting carbohydrates. This meat-free recipe is not only filling but also fits well into various diets and special dietary plans.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243; el_class=&#8221;ingredients-block&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup red lentils<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cloves of garlic, crushed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">200g button mushrooms, finely chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 teaspoon ground cumin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 teaspoon ground coriander<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\/2 cup breadcrumbs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 tablespoons flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salt to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Freshly ground black pepper to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Olive oil for frying<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thoroughly rinse the red lentils and place them in a saucepan. Cover with water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer on low for about 15-20 minutes until the lentils are tender.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and saut\u00e9 until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add the crushed garlic and finely chopped button mushrooms, then saut\u00e9 for another 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are softened.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the red lentils are cooked, drain off any excess water and transfer them to a bowl. Mash the lentils using a fork or a blender. If the mixture appears too moist, add a little breadcrumbs to thicken it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To the mashed lentils, add the saut\u00e9ed onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Add the finely chopped parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, and cayenne pepper. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Mix everything together thoroughly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the breadcrumbs and flour to the lentil-mushroom mixture, then knead until you have a pliable and shapeable dough.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shape the dough into dumplings and place them in a skillet with heated olive oil over medium heat.
